First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to fix severe bunions using a small-incision surgery. Fifty adults aged 18-60 with painful bunions that haven't improved with other treatments will be randomly assigned to have either one or two thin wires hold the bone in place after surgery. The goal is to see which method gives better foot alignment and less pain over one year.
