Smaller cut, smoother recovery? study tests new aorta surgery method

NCT ID NCT07386028

Summary

This study is comparing two ways to perform surgery for an enlarged aorta (an aortic aneurysm). One group of 100 patients will have the standard full chest incision, while another 100 will have a smaller, 'J-shaped' incision. The goal is to see if the smaller incision leads to fewer complications, less pain, and a faster recovery after surgery.
