Can mindfulness curb an unhealthy obsession with 'Clean' eating?
NCT ID NCT07374770
Summary
This study is testing whether a special mindfulness training program can help people who have developed an unhealthy, rigid obsession with eating only 'pure' or 'perfectly' healthy foods. Researchers will enroll 80 adults who show strong tendencies toward this condition, called orthorexia nervosa. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the 6-week mindfulness training or be in a control group for comparison, to see if the training improves their eating attitudes and reduces anxiety around food.
