Mindfulness may lower blood pressure in At-Risk pregnant women

Summary

This study looks at whether an 8-week mindfulness program delivered by phone can help prevent high blood pressure disorders in pregnancy. About 150 pregnant women at moderate to high risk will be randomly assigned to either the mindfulness program or usual care. Researchers will measure stress, blood pressure, and heart activity to see if mindfulness reduces risk.
