Mindfulness classes aim to lift shame and boost confidence in young women
NCT ID NCT07383090
Summary
This study tested whether a short mindfulness education program could help young women feel better about themselves and reduce feelings of shame or stigma around sexual and reproductive health. Forty-eight female university students were split into two groups, with one group receiving four weekly mindfulness sessions. Researchers measured changes in mindfulness, self-esteem, and perceived stigma right after the program and again one and three months later.
