Can being kinder to yourself ease period pain?

NCT ID NCT07394023

Summary

This study is testing whether a mindfulness and self-compassion training program can help reduce stress, pain, and improve confidence in managing symptoms for female university students with painful periods (primary dysmenorrhea). The research will involve 68 students, with one group receiving 8 weeks of training (mostly online) and another group receiving no intervention for comparison. The goal is to see if learning these mental techniques makes painful periods easier to cope with.
