Can mindfulness fix nurse burnout? UNM study tests yoga vs. meditation
NCT ID NCT06866288
Summary
This small pilot study aimed to see if mindfulness practices like meditation or yoga could help reduce stress and burnout while increasing feelings of belonging for faculty and staff at a nursing college. Thirty-two participants were assigned to do either meditation or yoga twice a week for six weeks, while also wearing a smart device and completing surveys. The goal was to test if the program was practical and to gather early signs of whether it improved mental well-being and physical stress markers.
