Can a simple smell and a thought boost milk and ease stress for NICU moms?
NCT ID NCT07346339
Summary
This study tested whether a simple mindfulness technique could help mothers who are pumping breast milk for their babies in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU). Researchers taught one group of mothers to use their baby's scent and positive visualization while pumping to see if it reduced their stress and improved their well-being and milk supply. They compared results with mothers who received standard care without the mindfulness practice.
