Can calming the mind heal the gut? new study tests mindfulness for IBD
NCT ID NCT07266883
Summary
This study is testing whether an 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program can help people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. It will compare 70 adults who do the mindfulness program to others receiving standard care, looking at changes in stress, quality of life, and gut inflammation. The goal is to see if learning mindfulness techniques can improve both mental and physical health for people living with these challenging gut conditions.
