Can meditation help cancer patients find hope?
NCT ID NCT04800419
Summary
This study tested whether a mindfulness-based stress reduction program could improve mental well-being and quality of life for people newly diagnosed with head and neck cancer. 110 participants were randomly assigned to either receive the mindfulness training or continue with their usual care. Researchers measured changes in hope, optimism, and quality of life during and after the program to see if the mindfulness training helped.
