First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program could lower stress in women who lived through a major disaster like an earthquake or flood. 70 women with high stress levels took part, with half doing MBSR and the other half serving as a comparison group. The goal was to see if the mindfulness group felt less stressed after 8 weeks.
