Summary
This study tested whether adding mindfulness-based stress reduction to aerobic training helps people with coronary heart disease who had a stent procedure. 150 participants were split into two groups: one did mindfulness plus exercise, the other did exercise only. The goal was to see if the combination reduced fear of movement (kinesiophobia), improved heart rate variability, and eased anxiety and depression. Results suggest the combined approach may offer extra benefits for recovery.
