First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a mindful self-compassion program can be helpful for young adults (ages 18-29) with Li-Fraumeni syndrome, a genetic condition that greatly raises cancer risk. Seven participants attended a one-day workshop and gave feedback on how to make the program more relevant for them. The goal was not to treat the disease but to understand if this mental health resource could reduce distress.
