NCT ID NCT07802535
First seen Sep 03, 2026 · Last updated Sep 04, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests a nine-session program called Bashaoor Tarbiyat-e-Aulad, an Urdu version of the Mindful Parenting Program, for mothers of children aged 6 to 11. Researchers randomly assign mothers to either the program or a waitlist to see if it reduces parenting stress and improves well-being. The program teaches mindfulness, emotional awareness, and self-compassion to help mothers respond more calmly. The study measures stress, parenting confidence, and child behavior before and after the sessions.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Bashaoor Tarbiyat-e-Aulad (BTA), a culturally adapted Urdu version of the Mindful Parenting Program, delivered in nine group sessions
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this program could offer a practical, non-drug way for mothers to lower parenting stress and improve their relationship with their children.
- What could go wrong
- This is a single study with a specific group of mothers, so results may not apply to everyone. The program requires time and commitment, and benefits may fade after sessions end.
