Could treating the mind ease chronic back pain?

NCT ID NCT04979403

Summary

This small, completed study tested if a new type of physical therapy that includes psychological techniques is a practical approach to study for chronic back pain. It involved 40 people with long-term back pain who also had high levels of stress, anxiety, or fear related to their pain. The main goal was to see if a larger future trial would be possible, comparing this combined mind-body therapy to standard physical therapy alone.
