First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at whether having the same midwife support first-time mothers from late pregnancy through the early weeks after birth improves their comfort, sleep quality, and confidence in breastfeeding. 128 women took part, with half receiving this continuous support and half getting standard care. Results showed that women who had continuous midwife support felt more comfortable, slept better, and felt more confident about breastfeeding.
