Summary
This study looks at two types of IVs for emergency room patients whose veins are hard to find. One is a standard 2-inch IV, and the other is a longer 4-inch midline catheter placed with a guidewire. Researchers want to see which one lasts longer and works better for giving medicine or drawing blood. About 270 adults with difficult IV access will take part.
