First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a type of IV called a midline catheter causes fewer infections and blood clots than a standard central line in adult hospital patients who need a single blood pressure medication. About 100 participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two catheters and will be followed for 30 days. The goal is to find a safer option for delivering this common therapy.
