Heat treatment tested to zap liver tumors, offering break from chemo
NCT ID NCT03775980
Summary
This study observed how well a microwave heating treatment works for patients whose colorectal cancer has spread to the liver. It followed 500 patients across Europe who received this standard procedure to see if it controlled their liver tumors for at least a year. The goal was to gather real-world data on safety, survival, and whether the treatment could give patients a break from other cancer therapies.
