First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested a gentle laser treatment for dry eye caused by meibomian gland dysfunction, a common condition where oil glands in the eyelids don't work properly. 30 adults with moderate to severe dry eye received the laser to reduce inflammation and abnormal blood vessels on the eyelid edge. The goal was to see if this approach improves tear film stability and eases symptoms like dryness and burning.
