NCT ID NCT06107933

First seen Jun 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026

Summary

This study looks at microplastic particles in breast milk, mother's blood, and baby's stool. Researchers want to see if these particles are linked to a baby's weight and growth in the first months of life. About 40 mothers and their infants from Baltimore will provide samples and answer lifestyle questions. The goal is to understand how common microplastics are and what factors might increase exposure.
