Can 2-Minute videos speed up surgery recovery? cleveland hospital tests new approach

NCT ID NCT07221435

Summary

This study is testing whether short, easy-to-digest educational videos (called microlearning) can help patients feel more confident and recover better after same-day surgeries like vaginal hysterectomies or bladder sling procedures. Researchers will enroll 50 patients at University Hospitals to see if these brief videos improve their knowledge about recovery and their self-confidence in managing their care after surgery. The study focuses on measuring changes in patients' understanding, confidence levels, and overall recovery experience through surveys before and after they watch the educational content.
