Not open to general applications. Only people the study team invites can take part.
Paused
Paused for now. It may or may not start again.
Ongoing This study
Running, but no longer taking on new participants.
Completed
The trial has finished. Results may not be published yet.
Stopped early
Stopped early, before it reached the end. That can be for many reasons, including safety.
Cancelled
Cancelled before anyone took part.

Expanded access (not trials)

Expanded access
Not a trial. This treatment can be requested outside a study, case by case, for people who qualify.
Expanded access (paused)
Not a trial. The treatment can normally be requested outside a study, but is unavailable right now.
Expanded access (ended)
Not a trial. The treatment could once be requested outside a study, but no longer can.

Summary

This trial tests whether eating a mix of microgreens (black radish, red radish, broccoli, and kale) along with wheatgrass juice can help football players recover from a strenuous exercise session. Sixteen male amateur football players, aged 20-25, will take the supplement over several cycles, then perform a high-intensity eccentric exercise. Researchers will measure muscle damage and inflammation markers in the blood before and up to 72 hours after exercise to see if the greens reduce the body's stress response.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
A mixed preparation of black radish, red radish, broccoli, and kale microgreens (60 g daily) plus wheatgrass juice (30 mL daily)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a natural dietary supplement to speed recovery and reduce muscle soreness after intense exercise.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early trial with only 16 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The effects on some markers were limited, and more research is needed to confirm any real benefit.
