Scientists probe hidden world of lung germs in kids with chronic cough

Summary
This study looks at how the mix of bacteria and viruses in the airways of children with long-lasting bacterial bronchitis affects their immune system and breathing health. Researchers will also see how the standard antibiotic treatment, azithromycin, changes these germs and immune markers. About 160 children with this condition will take part to help understand the disease better.
