Tiny holes in jawbone may speed up teeth straightening
NCT ID NCT07169968
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether making small holes in the jawbone (micro-osteoperforations) helps clear aligners straighten crowded lower front teeth faster. Twenty adults with mild crowding will be treated with aligners, with half also getting the bone procedure. Researchers will compare how many aligners are needed and measure pain, gum health, and crowding relief.
