First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of therapy called mentalization-based therapy (MBT) for young people aged 10-17 who struggle with aggressive or violent behavior. About 632 participants will be split into two groups: one gets the usual support from mental health services, and the other gets usual support plus MBT. The goal is to see if MBT helps young people understand their own and others' feelings, reducing aggression over six months.
