First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a 6-week home exercise program delivered through a smartphone app can improve balance, muscle strength, and confidence in cardiac rehabilitation patients. Researchers will enroll 128 participants to see if the program reduces fall risk and improves quality of life. The exercises are tailored to each person's ability and can be done at home with minimal equipment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
home-based exercise program delivered via mobile health app
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a simple, at-home way to help cardiac rehab patients reduce their risk of falling and improve daily function.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 128 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The program relies on patients having a smartphone and following the exercises correctly at home.
