Summary
This study tested whether adding a medication called Mexidol to standard glaucoma treatment could help protect the optic nerve and slow vision loss. It involved 80 people with advanced glaucoma whose eye pressure was already under control. Researchers measured changes in the health of cells in the eye and the optic nerve to see if Mexidol provided extra protection.
