Summary
This pilot trial tests whether adding antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) with methylene blue to a standard dental cleaning can prevent chromogenic stains from returning on baby teeth. About 36 children aged 4 to 6 with these stains will receive either standard prophylaxis alone or standard prophylaxis followed by a topical application of methylene blue activated by a red laser. The study will compare stain recurrence over six months.
