Blue dye offers hope for patients with untreatable skin cancer

NCT ID NCT07311070

Summary

This study is testing whether a blue dye called methylene blue, applied directly to the skin, can shrink tumors and help wounds heal in people with advanced basal cell carcinoma who cannot have surgery or radiation. Researchers will apply the treatment every two days for a month and monitor patients for six months to see if it's safe and effective. The goal is to provide a new, non-invasive option for patients with limited treatment choices.
