First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a special methylene blue cream or solution for people with advanced basal cell carcinoma (a common skin cancer) that cannot be removed by surgery or treated with radiation. About 20 adults will apply the blue medicine to their skin every two days for one month, followed by a healing gel. Researchers will check if the tumors shrink and wounds heal, and monitor safety for six months.
