New gel vs. spray: Head-to-Head test for hair regrowth

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two existing topical treatments works better for patchy hair loss caused by alopecia areata. About 268 adults with limited scalp patches will be randomly assigned to use either a methotrexate gel or a minoxidil spray for 24 weeks. Researchers will measure hair regrowth to see which treatment is more effective and safer for this specific condition.
