Study finds no lung damage from common arthritis drug methotrexate

Summary

This study examined 50 Egyptian patients with rheumatoid arthritis to see if the drug methotrexate causes lung problems. Half of the patients took methotrexate, and the other half took different arthritis drugs. Researchers used lung function tests and CT scans to compare the two groups. The study found no significant difference in lung health between those who took methotrexate and those who did not.
