First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 12, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This small pilot study aims to see if delivering a medication called methotrexate with a mild electric current is better than applying it as a gel for treating vitiligo. Thirty adults with stable vitiligo will be randomly assigned to use one of the two methods for eight weeks. Researchers will measure changes in skin color and quality of life to compare the treatments' effectiveness and safety.
