Repurposed drug combo tested as new hope for tough cancers

NCT ID NCT03889795

Summary

This is an early-stage study testing the safety of a combination of three existing drugs—metformin, digoxin, and simvastatin—in people with advanced pancreatic cancer or other solid tumors that have worsened despite standard treatment. The main goal is to find the highest dose patients can tolerate without severe side effects. Researchers will also check if the treatment shows any signs of slowing the cancer.
