Can simple stories stop superbugs? study tests new way to teach parents
NCT ID NCT07352371
Summary
This study tested whether explaining antibiotic resistance with simple metaphors (like comparing it to bugs becoming resistant to pesticides) works better than standard messages. Researchers surveyed 866 parents in China to see if the metaphors improved their understanding of the problem and their plans to use and dispose of antibiotics properly. The goal was to find better ways to educate people and reduce the misuse of these important medicines.
