First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at 100 adults who have been in the intensive care unit (ICU) for more than a week and need a breathing machine. Researchers want to see how their bodies use energy and how the amount of protein they get affects their recovery. The goal is to learn more, not to test a new treatment.
