Does your metabolism slow down shoulder healing?

NCT ID NCT06946472

Summary

This study aims to understand if having metabolic syndrome (a cluster of conditions like high blood pressure and high blood sugar) makes it harder to recover from a rotator cuff shoulder injury. Forty people with the same shoulder injury will be split into two groups—those with metabolic syndrome and those without—and both will receive the same 4-week physical therapy program. Researchers will measure pain, strength, and shoulder function before and after treatment to see if recovery differs between the groups.
