Sticky mesh aims to stop surgery scars from bulging
NCT ID NCT03912662
Summary
This study tested a special mesh that sticks to tissue on its own, placed along the surgical cut during planned abdominal operations. The goal was to see if this mesh could prevent an incisional hernia—a common complication where the scar bulges out. The trial was terminated early and enrolled 32 adults at risk for this problem.
