First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two types of mesh used in hernia repair surgery: a new suture mesh and the standard planar mesh. The goal is to see which one leads to fewer wound problems, better quality of life, and shorter surgery time. About 280 adults with small ventral hernias will take part and be randomly assigned to one of the two mesh types.
