First seen May 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using absorbable tacks to fix mesh in laparoscopic hernia repair causes more pain than leaving the mesh unfixed. Sixty adults with a single inguinal hernia were randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Researchers measured pain, quality of life, and hernia recurrence after surgery.
