Summary

This study tested an experimental vaccine called INO-4700 designed to protect against Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). Researchers enrolled 192 healthy volunteers to check if the vaccine was safe and if it triggered an immune response. The vaccine was given as a skin injection followed by a brief electrical pulse to help the body absorb it.
