Scientists grow Cancer-Fighting cells in lab for rare skin cancer

NCT ID NCT06780475

Summary

This early-stage study aims to test a new cell therapy approach for Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive skin cancer. Researchers will grow immune cells in a lab that target a virus linked to this cancer, then test how well these cells work. The study involves 15 adult patients with this specific type of cancer to validate if this laboratory method could lead to future treatments.
