Menthol E-Cigs under the microscope: are they riskier?
NCT ID NCT05338801
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at how menthol flavor in e-cigarettes affects users compared to tobacco flavor. Researchers will have 250 young adults (ages 21-35) use their own e-cigarettes with both flavors in separate lab visits. They will measure nicotine levels in the blood, withdrawal symptoms, and how much users puff. The goal is to help the FDA decide if menthol e-cigarettes should be regulated more strictly.
