Peppermint power: could a simple spray make your colonoscopy easier?
NCT ID NCT07501962
Summary
This study is testing whether spraying a menthol solution into the colon during a colonoscopy can relax muscle spasms. Researchers want to see if reducing spasms makes the procedure more comfortable and helps doctors spot more precancerous growths (adenomas). They will enroll 440 adults undergoing routine colonoscopies to compare results with and without the menthol spray.
