First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at what happens when menthol is removed from cigarettes and e-cigarettes. About 240 adult menthol smokers will be given either menthol or non-menthol products for 7 weeks. Researchers will track how many cigarettes they smoke and if they can quit for a week. The goal is to help the FDA understand the real-world effects of a menthol ban.
