Can thinking about moving help heal your back?
NCT ID NCT07111286
Summary
This study is testing if adding 'motor imagery'—mentally practicing movements without physically doing them—to a standard back pain rehab program helps people with long-term low back pain. It aims to see if this mental practice improves movement control, reduces pain and fear of movement, and boosts quality of life. 72 adults with chronic back pain will undergo a 3-week rehab program, with some also receiving the mental imagery sessions.
