Mind over muscle: can imagining movement heal your knee faster?
NCT ID NCT07210489
Summary
This study is testing whether a mental practice program, where patients imagine performing leg movements, helps improve recovery after surgery to repair a torn knee ligament (ACL). Researchers will compare 70 patients who do this mental imagery along with their standard physical therapy to patients who only do standard therapy. The main goal is to see if the mental practice helps patients regain equal strength and function in both legs.
