Summary

This study tested a free mobile app called Opp, designed to promote mental health in teens aged 13-25. Researchers wanted to see if using the app improved well-being and reduced emotional or behavioral difficulties. Nearly 400 adolescents participated, and the app was made available to all teens in Norway.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could provide a free, easy-to-use mental health tool for teens to improve well-being and cope with stress.

What could go wrong

This is a completed study, but results may not apply to all teens. The app is not a substitute for professional help for serious mental health conditions.
