Can thinking about moving help gamers beat brain drain?
NCT ID NCT06729060
Summary
This study looked at whether a technique called 'motor imagery'—mentally practicing movements without physically doing them—could help professional video game players maintain their speed and accuracy when they are mentally tired. Researchers worked with 45 male esports players to see if imagining game actions could counteract the negative effects of mental fatigue on their reaction times and in-game performance. The goal was to gather knowledge that could inform future training methods for competitive gamers.
